The Chatzigavriilidis family launched its meat business in the 1970s, opening its first butcher’s shop in Amisiana, Kavala, with a second shop following ten years later.
Our family’s vision and ambition to expand our knowledge and experience in the meat business became reality in 1997, with the establishment of BIKRE, one of the most modern industrial meat processing and packaging units in Greece. Within a very short period of time, increased demand, combined with our continuous growth, made it clear that the company needed to relocate to larger facilities. So, since 2011, BIKRE has been operating in its privately-owned facilities in Amisiana, Kavala.

Today, BIKRE barely resembles that first traditional butcher’s shop.

It has now become a leader in the meat production and processing business, with continuous and ever-growing activity. Yet its soul remains the same. The elements that made that little butcher’s shop so popular remain the same, unchanged, to the present day. And these are none other than the indisputable quality of our raw ingredients, our unique recipes and our respect for every customer’s needs.
